Replay Converter 4 Copy DVD

If you want to just copy an unprotected DVD with Replay Converter, the
easiest way is just selecting the "Burn to CD/DVD" option and then selecting
"Copy DVD" in the target format drop down list. No need in clicking the
"Add DVD" button. Replay Converter will find the DVD and create an ISO file
for you automatically. Then once Replay Converter asks you if you want to
use the same DVD settings, then that is when you should change the DVD in
your DVD drive to the blank one.

Press alt key then right arrow one time, down arrow to 'start recording'
press enter key to activate the recording process.
Press alt key and right arrow one time, then down arrow and choose 'launch
browser'.

Replay Music 3.95 / 3.97
Press 'start recording button with spacebar keyboard key. In the dialog
properties choose 'open website ..." with spacebar.

Solution
To view the website page contents you will have to turn off User Account
Control within Vista operating system if the website pages are invisible for
you.

To turn off UAC go to
Control Panel, Choose User Account Control, tab to the link 'turn UAC off or
on, uncheck the checkbox and choose ok. Restart your computer message
appears.

Warning
Turn back ON UAC settings when done using Applian's software.

Replay Music 3.95 Settings button

On the main interface of Replay Music 3.95 there is a settings button. Press
your spacebar on the settings button.

With JAWS 11 the tabs are not read to you but you can use ctrl+tab to jump
within each tabs properties. The tabs are in this order. Input, Splitting,
Proxy, Output. Another way is to use route JAWS to PC cursor and locate the
4 tabs with your arrow keys and do a JAWS left mouse click and the tab sheet
page properties you chose will appear for you. Press PC cursor mode to get
back in normal mode which is NumPad +.

Turning off progress bar type announcements JAWS 11

1. Run Replay Music 3 or the Applian Technologies product
2. Press insert F2
3. Choose Configuration Manager
4. edit box with replaymusic.jcf will appear and leave it as is or the name
will be like this,
your-software-name.jcf

5. tab to the ok button and press enter key
6. Press alt s
7. Choose user options
8. Set the progress bar announcement combo box to "off"
9. Choose ok button
10. Press ctrl s to save.

You now have turned off the talking progress bar announcements spoken by
JAWS.

Replay AV 8.80, Vista & the schedule8.dat file

The most likely place for your schedule8.dat file location will be

C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\

If you do not find it there then open
C:\Program Files\Replay AV 8\

and look at your first or 2nd log text files you see with Notepad and look
for the schedule path info.

It's a good idea to backup this file - schedule8.dat - file just in case
your computer's hard drive dies or something goes wrong. It contains all
your recording schedules information. You can import this file to get back
up and running again.

Replay Media Catcher 3.11 : Use Firefox

This applies only if you use Vista OS.

You must use Firefox browser in order to capture on demand (not live)
audio/video with Replay Media Catcher 3.11.

Internet Explorer 8 browser will not work. Whether you try it externally or
within RMC's 'launch browser' option within the Record menu bar. In both
cases the Internet Explorer 8 browser webpages are invisible with JAWS 11
which means you can't find your audio/video content.

Don't know why this is.

Solution
Install Mozilla Firefox browser. You will need to install Adobe Flash Player
10 from
http://www.adobe.com

Flash Player for other browsers is the one you want. And uncheck the box for
the McAfee product located near the bottom.

When it asks you for the active x type install quickly press alt+a.

It was kind of tricky to install the Flash Player 10 for Firefox. Best to
have a sighted person around but I managed on my own. Save yourself some
time.

So to capture with Firefox browser and RMC.

1. Run RMC
2. Press alt key
3. right arrow
4. Down arrow one time and enter on start recording
5. minimize RMC.
6. Make sure Firefox is your default browser.
7. run Firefox
8. go to the website you want to capture
9. Play the on demand (not live) stream for 10 seconds
10. play as many streams you wish for 10 seconds
11. RMC is capturing those streams silently in the background for you.

Finally when you run RMC you will get this message everytime it starts up
unless you told that message to stop bothering you,

user). This application captures those on demand (not live) audio/video
streams on the web. They say it can capture like 60-70 percent of the stuff
on the web. It is very simple to use.

Tested this release candidate of Replay Telecorder 1.1.0.0 RC 7 and no
issues with recordings where only one voice was heard in the recordings by
other users. I never had this issue here. This version also fixes the
product key code registration issue as I could not activate the product in

Tested with JAWS 11. Tips are,

1. The URL Finder utility - if you can find this utility after playing your
audio stream just use insert+F10.

2. YouSendIt Plugin - If you cannot log in with your username and password
when going to Replay AV 8.80 Tools menu bar and then choosing YouSendIt then
do this,

If you do not have an account,
Go to the website using your browser and paste in this address,
http://www.yousendit.com

It's free. You don't need one of the pay accounts.

If you already have a YouSendIt account then,

1. Run Replay AV 8.80

2. Schedule a recording
3. In the propperties dialog box where you have scheduled your recording, go
to the output tab page sheet and place a check mark in the box where it
saids to send the recording. Arrow down one time from this checkbox and you
will hear an edit box for an email address.
4. Enter the email address to whom you want this recording to go to.
5. Choose OK.
. minimize Replay AV 8.80
6. Go to the Desktop with windows key + m.
7. Enter on the YouSendIt icon
8. Enter your username and password.
9. When on the password field and with your password already typed in just
press your enter keyboard key and you will be signed into the YouSendIt
account.
10. We did this sign in procedure because the Replay AV 8.80 Tools menu,
YouSendIt method is inaccessible.
11. Minimize YouSendIt application. Do not close it.
12. With both Replay AV 8.80 and YouSendIt application running in the
background you are all set.
13. With both Replay AV 8.80 and YouSendIt running in the background and
your recording already scheduled plus the output tab being told to email the
recording to an email address what will happen is Replay AV 8.80 when its
done recording and possibly set to convert the recording to another file
format will activate YouSendIt plugin automatically and send the recording
off for you to that email address you designated in this output tab.

2.51 to see if he gets better recognition. However, if he has Vista it will
not work. Only RM versions 3.0 and greater will work on Vista. So, if he
doesn't have Vista, he can just install RM 2.51. No need to uninstall RM
3.55. He also won't need to re-enter a new registration code for 2.51, as
his code should work for both versions.

Replay Music 3.55 & burning CDs solution

The fix and to not receive any error messages when burning your tracks to an audio CD format is to not insert the blank CD into the tray until you hear the "proceed with burn" message. When you see this message insert the disc and choose yes button/link. Worked for me. Other tips are:

To select the tracks in the listbox view you can use ctrl+spacebar to select the tracks. Standard Windows keyboard commands here. Use ctrl+down arrow to go down your tracks and then use ctrl+spacebar to select the track. This was the case before in previous versions. I chose 16 out of the possible 24 tracks in the listview box.

I then chose burn CD button.

I am then asked if I want to use my previous settings. Chose yes.

You will hear a "start burn or start burn" button but do not activate this button. Wait on this screen as it is doing the processing process. Wait 3-4 minutes and you will hear the proceed the burn message come up for you. Insert the bland CD into the tray. Close the tray drive. Wait. Press enter key on the yes button. The burn to audio CD starts for you. The tray ejects the CD.

Open Windows Media Player 11. Insert the CD disc into the tray and close it. Your CD plays for you.

Within WMP 11's interface if you tab a few times you will see the tracks in a listview. For me I heard the 16 tracks listed there.

Petro's tips only are below.

1. Download Replay Music 3.55 setup file to hard drive.
2. Uninstall older version you have of Replay Music.
Use control panel's add or remove programs.
3. Reboot your computer.
4. Remove the "Replay Music 3" folder in your C:\Program Files\. That is delete the Replay Music 3 folder.
4. Run the setup file you downloaded in step #1.
5. On last setup screen choose exit button to complete the setup installation.
6. Reboot computer.
7. Run the Replay Music application by clicking its desktop icon.

The interface is still the same. I was able to burn an audio CD by choosing the burn button. I was not able to do this before and I did report these issues in the past to Applian. If it doesn't work for you, you can always use another program to do the burns for you.

In the listbox view where all your tracks appear I tabbed to this listbox and then arrowed down one time and did a copy all command - ctrl+a -which selected all my tracks. An audio Cd can only have up to 60-80 minutes or less. I use 70 minute capacity CDs for audio and if you make data (.mp3) CDs then you can put up to 700 MB.

Note:
If you hear a button that saids something like "start burn or burn CD" during the burn setup do not activate it. Wait for a new message box to appear.

With JAWS 10 during the burn process I chose NO to save my previous settings. At the last screen I got an error message. Clicked ok button and the burn proceeded for me.

Note:
I decided to burn some new tracks but this time I said YES to use my previous settings.

Replay Media Catcher 3.02 is accessible with JAWS 10. It has menu bars:
Record, Transfer, Tools, Help

The Tools menu is unusual. In regular conditions you will only hear one option read to you while in this menu. You will hear settings. The Tools menu actually has 4 total choices. To bring these additional choices do

Route JAWS to PC Cursor.
insert minus on numpad.
Locate the word "Tools".
JAWS left mouse click on this word "Tools". (use numpad / symbol).
Go back to PC cursor mode. (press numpad + symbol)
You will hear the 4 choices now within the Tools menu bar correctly. Settings, converter, extract...

I do not know why this happens. If anyone is reading this run Replay AV 8 with Window-Eyes and use your mouse cursor to left click on the menu bar items like File, which isn't read in normal conditions to see what happens. Do this with some of the other menus and see if you still get the double items in some of the menus still.

Replay Media Catcher 3.01 and now 3.02 includes a very accessible built-in converter tool. It allows you to convert your captured files to another format file type within the same application. I converted two .mp4 files to .mp3 successfully. The converter rocks!

converting videos to DVD blank disc

A post to another mailing list I posted to help another user and I am posting here for others to learn it is possible to do it.

I use Replay Converter 3.20 when buying Replay AV 8.52. To learn more go to:

They usually put a special for Replay AV near Christmas time and if they do I will post it here.

I know Replay Converter is accessible as I tested it for accessibility with JAWS. Just remember these tips:

Use spacebar only when on main interface of Replay Converter to activate a button.

Use tab key to advance to a button on main interface.

To burn the wmv file to a DVD blank disc do:

Purchase Replay AV 8.52 which includes Replay Converter 3.20 application. You will need to copy and paste the product key. Be patient during the install process. Install all parts which are Replay AV 8.52, Codecs, Replay Converter, WinPCat and YouSendIt Express.

After installation reboot your computer.

1. Run Replay Converter program from the desktop icon.
2. You will get 5-6 hints/tips on how to use the application so read these.
3. Use your tab key until you hear 'add files'
4. Press your spacebar keyboard key and never use the enter key.
5. Locate and add your .wmv file or files and choose open.
6. You added your .wmv files and are back on Replay Converter's main program's interface.
7. If you keep tabbing you will hear a listview box and you can down arrow in this list to hear what files you have added.
8. In the listview you will hear the status for each file as 'pending'.
9. Now keep tabbing until you locate 'convert audio' button - then press your down arrow key until you hear 'burn'. Press spacebar on the burn button.
10. Press your tab key one time now.
11. Down arrow to "DVD NTSC' if this is for USA playback. If its for most other places to watch it then choose DVD PAL. So arrow to the choice and then press your tab key one time.
11. Press spacebar on 'Start conversion job' button
12. The CD/DVD Burn Wizard appears now.
13. Insert your Blank DVD disc into the drive bay.
14. follow the on screen dialog boxes.
15. You will see 7 different dialog box xcreens and most of these you will not need to change any settings except for screens looking for:
You must select a burning speed like 2.4x or 4x. Basically you tab to it and arrow down to select the burn speed.
16. It takes quite a bit of time to convert videos. It all depends how long that .wmv file is so walk away from your computer.
17. You will know the burn is over when you come back as there will be a message box on your screen saying burn was successful with an OK button. Press spacebar on this OK button. The burned DVD will also pop out.

If your .wmv file did not convert then you will have to use Replay Converter's 'troubleshoot' feature.

To do the troubleshoot you locate the listview box on main interface of Replay Converter. Arrow to the file in the list. Use applications keyboard key. The context menu pops up and choose troubleshoot with your enter key.

If you examine the list now on the file you choose troubleshoot you will see its status as 'troubleshoot' instead of 'pending'. Now tab to 'convert audio' button and arrow down until you hear 'burn' and press spacebar and then tab one time and choose DVD NTSC and then tab to 'start conversion job' button and press spacebar. You will get the CD/DVD Burn Wizard.

My experience and comments here only.
Backup the schedule8.dat file to another location on your hard drive. This file contains all your stations/shows/podcasts recording schedules.

I uninstalled via Control Panel's add or remove the following:
Replay AV 8, Replay Converter, YouSendIt Express, WinPCap.

Reboot your computer. Shut down your computer for 2 minutes.

Download Replay AV 8.52 at

Best to buy the upgrade via the website method. $9.95. This way you will have the product key and copied with ctrl+c so you can paste it in with ctrl+v.

When you have completely installed Replay AV 8.52 and run the program it will tell you it is a demo version.

You will get a dialog box and here you will have the opportunity to enter the product key that you purchased and copied with ctrl+c to paste it in and choose the submit button.

I have not seen any errors or bugs but there is no way one person can test every file but the product does work very well.

Replay Converter 3.05 notes

This is the stand alone version of Replay Converter 3.05. Working with the developer to fix a minor issue involving the right click to work when selecting the added file in the listbox view. Work around is to use your route jaws to PC cursor then do a right mouse click on the file to bring up the popup context menu list. Then back to PC cursor mode. Then back to route jaws to PC cursor to find the troubleshoot option in the context menu and then left mouse click on troubleshoot. Back to PC cursor mode. The status for the file will now read as "TShoot" instead of pending. In very rare instances do you have to do this for your files as most will convert automatically for you. It's the best converter in my book.

I burned a .asf file to DVD NTSC blank disc successfully. Got someone to check the DVD's audio/video to see if it was in sync and was told it was.

Overview

Replay Converter 3 is the easiest way to convert video and audio files from one format to another, rip DVD's, or make CD's and DVD's from video and audio
files on your PC. You simply pick the files to convert, choose an output target format, and click GO to start the process. Everything happens automatically.

Here's how the main screen of Replay Converter appears:

Converting Video Files

Converting video files is easy - here's how to do it:

4. Next, we'll need to pick an output format. Click Convert to Video File , then pick from one of the supplied Target Formats:

Converting audio files is just like converting video files - here's how to do it:

Adding More Audio or Video Output Formats

Replay Converter comes pre-configured with the most popular format options readily available. However, it's easy to add more to the drop-down list of options.
Here's how to add more video options:

1. Select Convert to Video File.
2. Under Choose a Target Format, select Add more Video Formats. The Add Video Formats dialog appears:

3. Select an additional format to appear in your list of options and click Add. Repeat for additional formats.
4. Click Close when finished.

The same process works for adding additional Audio formats as well. Just start by selecting Convert to Audio File and continue with step 2 above.
To delete a target format from the default list:

2. Choose Delete Target Format from the pop-up menu.

Note that you can restore deleted formats to the drop-down list using the Add Output Format process
above.

Editing Conversion Parameters

You can customize the parameters used in any predefined video or audio conversion. Here's how:

1. From the main screen, click Convert to Video File or Convert to Audio File.
2. Right-click a conversion, and choose Edit Target Format Properties from the pop-up menu . The Edit Target Properties dialog appears:

3. Change any of the parameters and click OK.

Making DVD's

Replay Converter 3.0 now has the ability to burn DVD discs from a wide variety video files. Here's how to do it:

1. Open Replay Converter, and click Add Files. A file picker appears:

2. Highlight the video files to burn to DVD, and click Open. The file you picked appears in the list of files to convert:

3. Repeat the above step if you want to burn more files from other folders.
4. You can reorder the files by dragging them up or down in the list.
5. Select Burn to CD/DVD:

6. At Choose a Target Format, select one of the Burn to DVD options.
7. Click Go. The files are first converted to MPEG-2 format, which is required for making DVD's.
8. Once the Conversion process ends, then the Burn process begins. First of all, select the SPTI default and click Next:

9. Select a DVD drive from the list and click Next.

10. Continue to use the defaults in the next 3 screens and click Next each time.

11. After the last step, the Burn process starts:

12. Click Finish when the burn process completes.

Making CD's
Replay Converter 3.0 can make CDs from MP3 and WAV files. Here's how to do it:

2. Highlight the audio files for your CD (in the order they are to appear on the CD), and click Open. The files you picked appear in the list of files to

4. Choose Burn to CD/DVD, then select Burn to Audio CD from the Choose a Target Format area.

5. Click Go.
6. Before a CD is burned, the audio files need to be converted into a suitable format for burning.
7. Once the Conversion process ends, then the Burn process begins. First of all, select the SPTI default and click Next:

8. Select a CD drive from the list and click Next.

9. Continue to use the defaults in the next 3 screens and click Next each time.

10. After the last step, the Burn process starts:

11. Click Finish when the burn process completes.

Ripping DVD's

Replay Converter can create playable video files from DVD's. For example, you could take a video from a DVD and watch it on your iPod or iPhone. (See the
legal note below.)

Here's how to rip files from a DVD:

1. Open Replay Converter, and click Add DVD. The Pick DVD Folder dialog appears:

2. Pick the drive and subfolder where the DVD files are located. Often you will see a folder labeled VIDEO_TS in the DVD drive. Click OK once the proper
folder is selected.
3. The "VOB" files on the DVD appear in Replay Converter like this:

4. Click Convert to Video File, and pick an output option next to Choose a Target Format.
5. Click the GO button to start ripping the DVD.

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTE: Many commercial DVD's are copy protected. However, if the laws in your country allow this, you can use a utility like
DVD43
to read those files. Any files created from copyrighted DVD's are to be used for your own personal use, in compliance with the copyright laws of your country.

Program Options

Click Options. The options dialog appears:

Open Target File Folder: Opens the current target folder in Windows Explorer.

Display Hints: Replay Converter can display helpful hints when the program starts. If you've selected to turn these hints off, you can see them again here.

Display Log: Opens your recording log for troubleshooting purposes.

Computer Resource Usage During Conversion: Select normal for faster conversions or low for better computer responsiveness while converting.

Hints and Tricks

As you've seen, Replay Converter is pretty straightforward to use. Here's a few hints and tricks that will save you time and effort.

Picking Files

Instead of using the Add Files button, you can also drag and drop files into Replay Converter from Windows File Explorer.

Reordering Files

You can change the order of files in the list in two ways:

• Select a file and press Shift + Up or Shift + Down.
• Drag a file using the mouse to a new position.

Converting Video files to Audio

You can make MP3 or any other audio format from video files - this is great if you want to listen to a TV show on your iPod, for example. The conversion
process is the same as converting audio files. Just add your video file(s) to the list and make sure to select the correct Audio Target Formats

Removing Files from the conversion list

Use the Remove button to remove the selected file from the conversions list, or click Clear List to remove all files.

Picking a folder for converted files

Replay Converter will place a converted file in the same folder as the original, or place it in a new folder. Use the Write file to Same Folder or Write
File to New Folder options.

The following shortcuts can be used in Replay Converter:

Installing the new Replay Converter 3 beta 7-28-2008

This is beta software. Not the final version.

Please read these notes at least 3 times.

Make sure no Applian products are running. Check taskbar and system trays.

Close all other applications. I left my antivirus program running here.

If you have Replay AV 8 software then you have Replay Converter 2.80. Comes with Replay AV 8. DO NOT UNINSTALL replay Converter 2.80. Leave it alone.

Download Replay Converter 3 beta to your hard drive.

Run the .exe file.

On the last setup screen choose EXIT button. Do not choose "Launch Now".

The installation is finished.

Please do not run Replay Converter.

You must reboot your computer now by going to start menu, turn off, restart button.

Your computer starts up. You are on the desktop.

Run the Replay Converter desktop icon.

You may get a message saying another version of Replay Converter was detected. Press enter key on ok.

Go back to desktop and run Replay Converter desktop icon again.

Replay Converter 3 beta is running now.

Improvements are:
faster conversions, progress bar percentages are heard like 2%, 4%, 8%, The main interface listbox now reads much better as you can hear file status like
pending and done.

Burning video files to a DVD blank dis is accessible. The developer and Applian Technologies have gone out of there way to make this possible for you and
me. I know because I see the improved results in accessibility.

I burned a video .asf file to DVD blank disc to the DVD NTSC format. You can burn to the PAL format (overseas format).

I converted .asf, .mp3 to other formats. No errors. Keep in mind its beta software.

You can use RC to burn to CDs but haven't tested this here. Did work for me when I beta tested the other RC 3 beta releases.

If you need assistance on using Replay Converter 3 beta post to this list. The developer has been working on this for almost a year if my memory is correct.

Replay Converter 3 beta is a stand alone program.

Replay AV 8 will continue to use your existing Replay Converter 2.++ version.

You cannot run both Replay Converter 2.++ and the new Replay Converter 3 beta software at the same time. Only 1 can be running.

In Control Panel you will see in your add or remove:
Replay Converter 2.80 folder
And
Replay Converter folder listed. The Replay Converter folder in add or remove is the Replay Converter 3 beta software.

To those who do not have Replay AV 7 or 8. That is you only have Replay Converter software on your computer.

You must uninstall Replay Converter first. Reboot your computer.

Install Replay Converter 3 beta. Last screen during setup choose Exit button. Do not choose Launch Now button.

Installation is finished.

Reboot your PC.

The Windows Desktop appears.

Run the Replay Converter desktop icon.

For those who are using Replay Media Catcher version 2 and want to try out Replay Media Catcher 3 beta this is what to do. Only my experiences here.

Make sure RM Catcher is closed and no longer running.

Go control panel, add or remove, locate Replay Media Catcher in the list. Choose remove. Follow the on screen messages. You will be taken to a survey which is optional. Close the survey with alt + F4 when done. You are taken back to the uninstall process.

Uninstall it.

Examine your add or remove list and see if RM Catcher is gone.

Go to start, all programs, and make sure you do not see RM Catcher folder.

Go to "My Computer", C:\ hard drive, Programs folder and locate Replay Media Catcher folder/directory. Open it. It should be empty since you uninstalled it. No log files are there.

Highlight "Replay Media Catcher" directory in your:
C:\Program Files\

That is highlight Replay Media Catcher.

Press delete key to delete this directory called Replay Media Catcher.

Verify its gone.

Go to Recycle Bin and delete this folder.

This is important. you must restart your computer. Go to start, turn off, restart.

Your computer reboots for you.

Download and install RM Catcher 3 beta.
Release version date is: 7-30-08.

During the install you don't have to change any of the settings except when you hear the license agreement sccreen you will the I do not agree button. When you hear this button just up arrow one time and you will I agree button and then tab to the next button to continue the rest of the installation.

On the last screen during the setup choose EXIT button. Do not choose Launch Program now button.

Installation is finished.

Restart your computer.

Run RM Catcher now.

For me the product key was retained. When RM Catcher started up I heard full version.

The interface is the same. The tip of the day dialog box type messages have new tips so read them. Like it supports rtsp:, mms: streams and there's a new plugin called webstream dumper.

I have not tested to see if I can capture any streams here but all looks good to me. You can use it with your JAWS screen reader.

Signing up within the plugin
New users who do not have a YouSendIt account should go to the YouSendIt site at:
http://www.yousendit.com

create an account.

Finding the YouSendIt plugin within Replay AV 8:

1. Start Replay AV
2. Go to the tools menu with alt -t
3. up arrow one time
4. You will be on open yousendit
5. press enter on this open yousendit

The YouSendIt screen appears now.
Press ctrl -shift -t for the title bar.
Press ctrl - home.
Press "c" to jump to "email address" edit box and press enter key.
Enter the email address you created at yousendit.com
Tab one time and enter your password.

Important: Immediately after you have entered your password in the password edit box press your enter keyboard key. This will sign you in.

Note: With Window-Eyes I had no clues that I was signed in. Send a test file with the YSI plugin. Or right click on a file on your hard drive and choose 'send by yousendit option. Send the file to yourself. Check to see if you got an email notification in your email program.

You are now signed in and the YSI plugin is ready to go and to work for you within Replay AV.

Sending a recording with the plugin.

1. Add your station or show to Replay AV 8.
2. The station or show will appear in your listbox view on main interface of Replay AV.
3. Go to the station or show in the listbox.
4. Press application key on selected station or show.
5. choose properties and enter on it.
6. Set your settings in basic, recording, schedule tabs.
7. Go to the 'output' tab
8. press tab key a few times until you hear checkbox that saids 'email recording to:'
9. press spacebar to place check marked in checkbox
10. Enter email addresses like you do when you send an e-mail message within your e-mail program. Separate with ;
11. choose ok to save settings.

When Replay AV has finished recording for you the station or show it will automatically send the file download instructions to your email recipieents via an email notification message.

Other tips:
When the YouSendIt plugin is uploading your file or recorded file press ctrl -shift - t to hear the percentage upload progress. When you no longer hear the percentage number announced then the upload has finished.

Sending a file that is located on your hard drive.
Listen to the mp3 tutorial if possible or follow these steps.

There are 3 ways to do this. Right click a file and choose send by YouSendIt option. Or run YouSendIt Desktop Application program but I am not sure if this will be included with Replay AV 8. Or go to Replay AV 8 tools menu and choose open YouSendIt option.

The YouSendIt screen appears for you.

1. press ctrl -home
2. Press "C" until you hear "email recipients" edit box.
3. Press enter key.
4. enter email address to whom you will be sending the file to.
5. press tab
6. enter subject line text
7. Press tab
8. Optional text message.
9. Press tab key
10. ctrl -shift -A to get back to browse "on".
11. Choose the "add files" link
12. the open dialog box appears
13. add your file
14. spacebar on open to add file
15. Locate name and size headers
16. Below these headers you will see the file name and size for the file.
17. Send the file. Read below on how to do this.

Window-Eyes doesn't see the "Send by YouSendIt" link very well like JAWS. It displays this "Send by YouSendIt" link with a long html code instead.
Locating the "Send by YouSendIt" link.
Window-Eyes sees the "send by you sendit" link as:

Window-Eyes users can press insert -e on the above "html" long code and get a popup window telling them the below info:

The last line tells you "Send by YouSendIt. You have found the right link and it is the one you need to press your enter key on to send off your file.

Or you can do:

1. ctrl - home
2. insert -tab
3. Press C until you hear "cancel"
4. up arrow one time.
5. you will hear ":Program" long URL code.
6. Press your enter key
7. You have activated the "Send by YouSendIt" link and your file is being uploaded to the yousendit server.
8. Press ctrl -shift -t to hear progress upload percentages.
9. When you no longer percentage number in the title bar the file has been uploaded.
10. alt -f4 to close YouSendIt screen.

You may want to try ":" when you do the insert -tab links list. This may eliminate having to locate the first "cancel" type link in the insert -tab list. Doing this ":" may find the "send by YouSendIt" send link much quicker for you.

Other information

Window-Eyes 6.1 reads the YouSendIt screen properties all on one page. The links for inbox, settings, about are not clickable here but there properties/contents appear on the same page on the YouSendIt plugin screen. With JAWS this does not happen. With JAWS I can click inbox link and I am taken to the inbox page contents. Cleaner interface.

The YouSendIt plugin settings link is where you can change the default download folder. The default path is:

'username' is your name.

When you go into your show or station properties - you do this by being on the main interface of the Replay AV 8.42 program and tabbing to the listbox view where your stations, shows, podcasts and others - select the station or show and do a application key, the context menu pops up choose properties in the list.

The station properties dialog box appears. Choose the "tag" tab to set the title, artists, album edit fields and choose ok link to save. If you want no tags then choose a checkbox to not use tags for this station's recordings you make.

When it no longer saids capturing the job is complete.

Now to listen to this file just do an application key on the
file/show in the listbox.

Arrow to the file/show name and press enter to begin listening
to your captured file.

General Crashing Issues:
On Windows Vista, or in some cases with XP, the Data Execution
Prevention feature of Windows causes Replay A/V and other
programs to crash.

Here's how you can turn off Data Execution Prevention:

Click Start.
Select Control Panel (or Settings, Control Panel if you're on
Vista)
On Vista, select Classic View.
Double click System
On Vista, Select Advanced System Settings
Click the Advanced tab
In the Performance region select Settings
Click the Data Execution Prevention tab
Select Turn on DEP essential Windows Programs and Services only
Click OK
Reboot

How to enable an audio recording line in Windows Vista:
Note: This procedure is not necessary for Replay AV 8.3 and
newer or Replay Music 3 and newer. Use the new audio driver as
your recording method for best results when audio recording.

Windows Vista made some major changes to audio controls which
negatively impact the users ability to record from the sound
card. The ability to record from the sound card will be
dependent on your system's sound card and drivers. It is
important to make sure that you have the latest drivers
installed for your sound card. Install the latest drivers before
proceeding with these steps.

On some systems you may be able to enable a recording device as
follows:

Open Control Panel
In classic view, go to Sound
Go to the Recording tab.
If you only see "microphone" and/or "line-in", right-click
anywhere in the blank white area of the window to display the
Show Disabled Devices context menu. Select Show Disabled
Devices:

If Stereo Mix, Wave-Out Mix, Wave, What U Hear, or something
similar appears, do a little happy-dance, then right click on
that entry and choose enable:

Click OK - In the case of the example above, we have just
enabled the "Stereo Mix" recording device. Keep in mind this is
dependent upon your sound card hardware and drivers. You may or
may not have this line available.
To make this newly enabled device the default recording device,
highlight it and click the Set Default button, or right-click on
the device and select make default:

If you were able to successfully enable a recording line, select
the appropriate audio device and audio recording line prior to
recording.

How to Turn Off User Account Control:
Turn OFF User Account Control:

Open Control Panel
Go to User Accounts
Click on Turn User Account Control on or off
Click continue to verify.
De-Select the Use User Account Control (UAC)...
Click OK
Re-start your computer

Replay AV 8:
Current status: The majority of Replay AV's features work fine
in Windows Vista. All known issues and suggested user actions
are listed here:

The URL Finder does not detect your network adapter: The URL
Finder cannot detect your network adapter if User Account
Control is enabled in Windows Vista. You must turn OFF User
Account Control in order to enable the URL Finder.

The Media Guide may not add shows/stations to the managed show
list: This issue is sporadic, but may occur if User Account
Control is enabled in Windows Vista. You can turn OFF User
Account Control if you experience problems with the Media Guide.

Sound Card Recordings (sound from speakers): New! Download
Replay AV 8.3 or newer and you'll have a brand new way to record
audio. And it works in Vista too! Open the properties of your
scheduled audio recording, go to the Recording tab and select
the Replay A/V Audio Driver as the Audio Recording Method:

Enhanced sound card driver does not record: The optional
enhanced sound card driver is not compatible with Windows Vista
and is no longer necessary for use in Replay AV. Please
uninstall the enhanced sound driver if installed.

Audio Recording Lines from the sound card may be missing: You
may be able to enable additional recording lines. Please note
that in most cases the Replay A/V Audio Driver will be your best
choice.

Replay Converter
ffmpeg.exe error message when converting: You may get an
ffmpeg.exe related error message when converting in Windows
Vista. However, the file will still convert.

Replay Media Catcher
Current Status: If Replay Media Catcher has trouble connecting,
you may need to turn off User Account Control in Windows Vista.

Replay Media Splitter
Current Status: There are no known issues with Replay Media
Splitter in Windows Vista.

Replay Music
Current Status: Replay Music 3 is now available. This version is
compatible with any sound card and with Windows Vista. The only
known limitation at this time is some incompatibility with Yahoo
Jukebox. We recommend using Rhapsody as a comparable replacement
for Yahoo Jukebox as it works very well with Replay Music.

When using Replay Music to record from Napster in Vista, use the
online browser version of Napster rather than the installed
software version. Replay Music cannot record from the installed
version of Napster but records great from the browser version.

Replay Player
Current Status: Replay Player version 3.0 and newer are
compatible with Windows Vista. This version is also included in
Replay AV 8.11 and newer.

Replay Radio
Due to sound card recording difficulties with Windows Vista, it

Help In Recording Track

First off, I'm a noobie so if the solution to this problem is
posted somewhere already, simply post it here so I can follow
it.

However, I've tried to look for a solution and I just can't find
it. I've recently upgraded from my old WMR Suite to the Replay
A/V Suite thinking that it can help me record the opening track
to Triple Five Soul's website.

I've tried doing it but I just can't find the right solution and
I'm hoping somebody out there can help me out. The URL is

Hi,

What problem are you having when you record? I tested this site
with both Replay AV and Replay Media Catcher and both
successfully captures the MP3 track.

Here's how to do it in Replay AV:

Click on Tools-URL Finder to start the URL Finder
Browse to www.triplefivesoul.com and wait for the audio to start

You'll see the MP3 file in the URL finder. Highlight it and
select "add selection as new show".
Name it and select the "record now" check box.
Click OK and it will start to download.
Here's how to capture it in Replay Media Catcher:
Click the "Start Recording" button.
Browse to www.triplefivesoul.com

Replay Media Catcher will automatically start downloading the
mp3 file and the flash videos on that page.
Screencast is the CPU usage culprit

I did a test tonight using the Netflix streaming (in Internet
Explorer) with the Screencast in Recording mode as well.
Screencast was using about 95 percent of my CPU's cycles,
effectively bringing the PC to a halt. So, they definitely need
to rewrite the code for Screencast to make it efficient. It's
unusable now (at least for Netflix) with such a high CPU
utilization rate.
they are working on a version that will use lower cpu usage. I
don't have an eta at this time, but I know it's being worked on.

Why is it that my Replay video capture, records the same video
twice, almost simultaneously?

Hi Certo. Are you referring to Replay Media Catcher? Most likely
you are seeing this with YouTube downloads, correct? It has to
do with a new "signature" parameter implemented by YouTube. To
Replay Media Catcher that parameter makes it look like two
separate media files.

We are looking into the problem and should have it resolved in
the next update.

Success recording audio in Vista (at last)

I have used Replay Radio and Replay Music with great success
over the years to record audio on my XP PC, but was somewhat
despondent on first switching to Vista (a new PC) as Applian
mentioned the difficulty of recording using the sound card (my
preferred method) on most Vista machines. Indeed, I found Replay
AV didn't work at all (until today!!).

I am writing this to help anyone else who may be having problems
as there is some new information on the Vista FAQ page on the
Applian site. It may not work for you but it did for me. The

I don't have a separate sound card, my PC has sound integrated
with the motherboard (not ideal but I ran out of space) and I
thought that might be part of the problem. However, the trick
was to 'enable' a recording line in Vista, as described in the
article in the Vista FAQ, which Vista had for some reason
disabled for me without me knowing. Once I did this (a 5 second
operation) - presto - Replay AV worked by recording sound
through my speakers (as it had on the XP machine).

So - not a problem but a solution - and one I wanted to pass on
to others.

If you use the latest version of Replay AV, 8.41 it does have
our great Replay AV Audio Driver. It allows you to capture audio
on a Vista machine. Give it a try.
For Replay AV it sounds like you are just setting up the show
incorrectly. In Replay AV just open the properties for a show
that you are recording. If you want to record using the audio
driver rather than stream capturing, select "Capture by
recording audio output" in the recording tab. Then select
"Replay AV audio driver" as the "Audio Recording Method".

When using the "Audio Driver" feature in Replay Music 3, it
should be capturing the entire stream.

Best software for recording streaming concerts

I've just bought the Replay Capture Suite, but there are so many
options, I'm not sure which way to jump.
I especially want to record the archived concerts on Wolfgang's
Vault site
(http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/?...ampaign=071003) for
personal use, i.e. burn them to a CD so I can listen to them
while driving, exercising, etc.
When you open up a concert to hear, it opens up a player w/it's
own URL, like
http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/p...tID=1661%7C919, which
immediately begins to play. (But you can pause it if you're
quick.)
Which Applian program would work best for capturing the audio at
a high quality in this environment?

Replay Media Catcher is the easiest program to record the
streaming audio or video files on Wolfgang's Vault. The audio
file is captured as a separate track with artist and title
information and saved in it's native MP3 format to your hard
drive.

You can then use your desired CD burning software to burn the
recorded audio files to a CD.

I am not employed by Applian however, I found there Support page
to be a great asset. I watched the videos (Webinars) prior to
purchasing my Replay AV suite. I have also referred back to them
since I made my purchase, picking up something each time I view

Give it a try.

A CAP file is a temporary file. You could get this if the
program stops prematurely or there is an error or a hiccup in
the stream capture. Most of the time all you need to do is
rename the extension to what it was suppose to be, such as .mp3
or .asf, and it will correct the problem.

I am having an issue with converting real audio files. I have
successfuly captured a BBC radio 3 show in Real audio format. It
plays fine with the Real Player after capture. I would like to
convert it to MP3 so that I can import it to my MP3 player. When
I try converting the file, I get an MP3 file that is silent. The
file goes through the conversion process and takes a few minutes
to convert. The finla result is an MP3 file that is of correct
size and is recognized by WMP on Vista and it starts playing.
However, there is 90 minutes of silence.
Here are the things that I tried with no success:
1. Changed the Direct Show option in the convertor options for
Real audio files. Tried it with and without Direct show.
2. Tried converting the file to MP3 at different bit rates
3. Tried converting to other file formats, ie, WMA and iPod

4. Tried the silent files on multiple computers. It was always
silent.
5. Installed the Applian software to capture and convert the
file on 2 different brand new Vista machines (one machine runs
Vista Home premium, and the other runs Vista ultimate)

None of the above has solved the problem.

What version of Real Player do you have? Replay Converter uses
codecs from the different players that you have installed on
your computer. We have found problems with some of the codecs in
Real Player 11. If you have Real Player 11, try downgrading to
Real Player 10, or you can just install the free program, Real
Alternative, which you can get from here:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...lternative.cfm
Personally, I feel Real Player is too bloated, so I use Real
Alternative.

Once you have Real Player 10 or Real Alternative, then do the
following for converting real audio files to MP3:
Click "Options" in Replay Converter -> "Audio Conversion
Options" -> check the "Real (.ra)" check box for .ra files or
check the "Other" check box for other Real files like .rm files
-> click "OK" and then try a conversion.

Replay Converter 3 beta FLV temporary fix solution

This only assumes you are using Replay Converter 3.0 beta
version and are trying to convert a .flv file to DVD disk for
use on a home DVD player.

Also when the new version is released you will not have to do
the below steps.

1) Convert the FLV file to an AVI file in Replay Converter.
Use the
DirectShow setting for FLV files.

2) Convert the AVI file to DVD. You will need to uncheck the
DirectShow
setting for AVI files when converting to DVD.

Replay Media Catcher 2.10d Interface Podcast

XP Home. They are working on a newer version of this application
to improve the audio/video sync.

ok. I had to use 2 computers. One computer did the recording for
me using Replay AV and the other computer I ran Replay Media
Catcher and ran the headphone jack from this computer to the
line-in of the other computer to record with Replay AV.

Keyboard Shortcuts for Internet Explorer 7 & XP/Vista

I believe you will find these keyboard shortcuts very useful.

They can help you when using Applian's various applications.

Go to Taskbar Tray quickly:
Press:
Windows key - TAB to go directly to the taskbar tray. That is
hold down your windows logo key and press the tab key. And this
is not from your screen reader but from Microsoft the shortcut.

The above eliminates having to go the desktop and tabbing to the
taskbar tray as I have been showing you all in the mp3
tutorials.

Go to the System Tray/Notification Tray (clock):
Press:
Windows key - b

You may want this shortcut to see if Replay AV 8 is running your
system tray.

Now to:

Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7)

IE 7 offers tab browsing.

Bring up IE 7 browser. This first page is your home page.

We want to keep our home page.

Instead of minimizing IE 7 and opening a new instance of IE 7
there is a better way.

With your home page running press:
ctrl - t

You get a edit box asking you to type in the website address
URL.

Type in:
www.applian.com

And press your enter key.

The Applian home page is up now.

We now have 2 pages opened in IE 7 browser.

Let's go to another page on the web. Press:
ctrl - t
Enter another URL address like:
www.yahoo.com

We now have 3 pages/sites opened with IE 7.

To go to your home page press:
ctrl - 1
That is control key and numbers row number 1.
You are taken to your default home page since this was the very
first site we get when starting up the IE 7 browser.

To go to the second page/site we opened which was the Applian
home page we would press:
ctrl - 2
The Applian home page appears.

To go to the 3rd site we opened earlier we would press:
ctrl - 3
The Yahoo website appears.

You can use ctrl - tab to hear all your opened browser
pages/tabs. For example, your default home page, Applian home
page, Yahoo home page. Press and hold down the ctrl key and
press tab key repeatedly until your site appears.

How do you close a page/site you no longer need?

Press:
ctrl - w
The page/site you were on closes and one of your other opened
pages appears on screen.

You can have up to 9 pages opened that will work for you if you
use ctrl and numbers row numbers 1 through 9.

Replay Converter 3 beta & Target Formats list

When you arrow down to the "Target Formats" with Replay
Converter 3 beta and arrow down to the "Add..." in the list this
will automatically take you to the "Add formats dialog box" to
add additional formats like mp3 32 kbps for example. You press
your space bar to choose a format and then choose the add
button. Once in awhile you will not be taken back to the main
interface of Replay Converter 3 beta. So the tip is to keep
pressing alt F4 as many times as needed until you get back on
the Replay Converter 3 beta main interface.

See when you are in the target formats list and as soon as you
land on the "add ..." in the list it automatically jumps you to
the Add Dialog box without you ever pressing your enter keyboard
key on this "add..." in the list. It is not a combo box either.

The target formats list is the list that has the audio formats
that you can choose from to convert to like mp3, ogg, wav, wma.

You also have a target format for video formats.

The target formats is the same appearance as in RC 2 but doesn't
include all of the formats. You have to add them manually
yourself like the 16, 32, 64 mp3 formats to appear in the
default list.

Just letting you all know this.

on home tv set and DVD player

Instructions here are to send a .wmv video file to a DVD blank
disk.

Insert blank DVD disk that your DVD burner supports.

1. Run Replay Converter 3
2. Choose the Add Files button with spacebar
3. Locate the .wmv file in the standard Open dialog box
4. Press spacebar on the open button within this dialog box when
done adding the file
5. Shift Tab until you hear the listbox view
6. Review the listbox contents
7. The path of the video file is in this listbox
8. Shift Tab until you hear Convert Audio button
9. Down arrow until you hear Burn button
10. Press spacebar on Burn button.
11. Tab one time and press control key to silence JAWS speech
output temporarily
12. Choose Burn To DVD
13. Press tab key one time

(3b8).

Notes:
Replay Converter 3 data backup feature is not intended to
replace your other backup program but you can make data CDs of
your recorded music
and radio recordings that Replay AV 8 has made for you. In the
last 2-3
years many car and portable CD players will playback mp3 data
CDS for
you.

The files that you burned to your CD-r disk are shortened. The
original

file names are not preserved.

For example the files on the burned CD will contain only 8
characters

like:

01___boo.mp3
12345678.txt

And yes I know you can use Windows built in burner to make CD
data
disks.

If you have an issue with Replay Converter 3 not making a audio
CD for you try these steps:

I was able to test your MP3 files and at first I did get the
same error that you did. The error is occurring when the MP3
files are being converted before the actual burning process.
But once I did the following steps, I was able to burn your MP3
files to an audio CD:

1) Go into "Options" in Replay Converter.
2) Select "Audio Conversion Options".
3) Uncheck the "MP3" box so that Replay Converter does not use
DirectShow to convert MP3 files.
4) Try another burn.
