Replay Radio 9

Replay Radio 9 works well with JAWS 15 and NVDA 2014 screen readers. This
application is made by Applian Technologies and its website is
http://www.applian.com

Replay Radio 9 is perfect for recording your favorite radio stations and
shows. It offers a monthly or yearly subscription service. Its user
interface is simple and accessible and has a menu bar. Stations and shows
can be added via its media guide which contains thousands of media to choose
from and to add them to Replay Radio 9 Schedule tab list area to get
recorded.

The Mute Volume Checkbox

My experience only.
With Replay Radio 9 and Replay Media Catcher 5 when setting up a scheduled
'future' recording within the schedule window screen you will notice this
checkbox labeled as 'Mute Volume' and if you choose this checkbox 'enable
this checkbox' and tabs a few times to choose the ok button you will lose
your screen reader's speech output as it is global and not application
specific as in this case with RR9 and RMC5 applications. So if you have get
out of trouble assistance do not mess around with this mute volume checkbox.
My get out of trouble assistance is me and my USB headset and I have JAWS
15.

Replay Music 7

Replay Music 7 was released about 10 days ago. NVDA handles the RM7 Settings
much better than JAWS as JAWS does not tell the user if a setting is enabled
or disable. If you find a way let us know. I have already told Applian about
this. RM7 is developed by a different programmer. Read the user guide. Key
shortcuts are,

alt+r to start / stop recording
alt+s to split recording

The user interface is different from RM6.

I am able to use RM7 with either JAWS or NvDA screen readers.

If you have RM6 on your PC already you can still use it even if you install
RM7 on the same PC.

They can coexists on the same PC.

It has four controls on the main user interface. They are,
Home
Guides
Settings
Get Support

Think of the above four as tabs. Once focused on a tab simply press your tab
keyboard key to see what it contains. Note the Guides tab contents are
silent and not accessible with JAWS / NVDA but if you press your enter key
when it says blank you will be taken to a website that you can record from.
There are many websites.

The Settings tab control has five property tab sheets. The first tab is
called personalization.

The settings properties has no ok or cancel buttons. So keep tabbing or
shift tab to get out of the Settings screen.

RM7 can be used by a blind person and it records well. Tracks are shown in
its list view and you can navigate this list view of tracks with your arrow
keys or by first letter navigation.

Replay media Catcher 5 Debug Info

I will need "debug" logging information. Here is the general procedure.

1) Make sure Replay Media Capture (RMC) is not running.

2) Close e-mail clients, IM, and other programs that use the internet. Close
all browser windows except for one.

3) Open Replay Media Catcher but DO NOT start monitoring yet. The start/stop
switch should be green and say START.

4) Go to the Help menu in RMC. Choose About. Click the Support tab. Click on
the Debug Mode checkbox. Click the OK button.

5) Start recording in RMC by pressing the green START switch (the switch
will turn red and now say STOP).

6) Go back to your browser, enter the following address:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kdpj1lpodA

and hit Return key to start loading the video.

When RMC is finished (either by completing the download or by error) or
after 1 minute if nothing is being picked up by RMC...

7) Close your browser window.

8) Back in RMC, stop monitoring by pressing the red STOP switch.

9) Click on Help in the menu, select About, click the Support tab, and click
the "Email logs to support" link.

10) The zipped logs will be placed on your Desktop. Please send that zipped
file to Applian tech support.

Replay Media Catcher 5 Basic / Advanced mode

Functionally, there is no significant difference in the view modes. The
basic mode presents the interface as thumbnails with limited tabs at the top
(just Library, Guide, and Schedule). The advanced view will show all the
available tabs (Library, internet, Audio, History, Guide, and Schedule) as
well as the Media Folder navigation on the left.
