Replay Converter 3 beta: Making Data CD

Replay Converter 3.0 beta How To use with JAWS 9

Setup is:
Windows XP Home
JAWS 9
Replay Converter 3 beta

What:
Creating Data CD

Insert a blank CD-R disk into your computer's drive bay.

1. Run Replay Converter 3
2. Choose Add Files button with spacebar
Keyboard Shortcut For Add Files button is
ALT d
3. Add the files
4. Press spacebar on Open button when done
5. Use shift tab until you hear the list box.
6. This list box shows all the files you added.
7. Use your up and down arrow keys to review the list box
contents.
8. To change the order of the files in the list box use shift up
or

shift down arrow keys
9. Press shift tab until you hear Convert Audio button
10. press your down arrow key until you hear Burn button
11. Press spacebar
12. Press tab key one time and press your control key to stop

13. Choose Burn to CD
14. Tab one time
15. Press spacebar on Start Conversion Job button
16. Use your tab key to locate the Burn To:
17. Choose Data CD
18. Tab to the Burn button
19. Press spacebar on Burn button
20. The screen will go blank here.
21. Do a Windows logo key plus m to go to the desktop
22. Tab to the taskbar tray and locate the burn to CD icon and
press

enter key to open it.
23. Soon you will see a Burn to CD, DVD/CD Burn Wizard.

DVD/CD Burn Wizard
SCSI Transport
The SCSI transport is a method to access devices.
Select SCSI transport you want to use for device access:
SPTI - SCSI Pass Through Interface
Preferable for most DVD burners.
ASPI - Advanced SCSI Programming Interface
Older interface transport. Use if SPTI doesn't work.

Choose Correct CD burner in list.
Choose the next button.

Note: The Drives you see in this example will be different from
yours.

"Blank" means there is a blank CD disk in my drive. "Empty"
means no

disk is inserted. If you forgot to add the disk to your drive
then

insert it and hit spacebar on "refresh" button on this screen.

DVD/CD Burn Wizard
Burning Device
Device to use for file system image burning.
Select CD or DVD burning device from the list:
Product Vendor Revision Media Size Label
CD-RW CRX220E1 SONY 6YS1 CD-R Blank
DVD RW DRU-700A SONY VY02 Empty
If you have plugged in new devices or changed disc in a device,
click

Refresh to update
devices list.

Burning Mode
You can choose burning mode.
Burning mode is the way of burning data to CD/DVD media.
Burning mode: Disc-At-Once raw P-W
Test mode does everything as in normal burning process, but with
the

device laser
turned off. It allows to test the Audio CD compilation for
errors.
Test mode (simulate burning)
Note: The default options will work 99% of the time. Change
these only

if you have
problems burning discs.

Set your burning speed.
Note: You may want to set the burning speed lower. I use 16x on
this

old desktop computer.

Choose next button.

Burning Options
You can choose various burning options.
Sending Optimum Power Calibration (OPC) calibrates the device
laser

power at the
beginning of burning session to adjust for the properties of
each

recordable disc.
Send optimum power calibration (OPC)
Most Disc burners will work properly at the highest speed. If
you're

having trouble
playing discs, try using a slower burn speed.
Burning speed: 40.0x (7040 KB/sec)

JAWS cursor.
Choose the next button.

Your CD ejects out of your drive bay in setp 31.
You can choose to save the log file to your hard drive if you
got an

error in the burn.
Choose Finish button.

33. March 13, 2007 testing date with build Replay Converter 3.0
(3b8).

Notes:
Replay Converter 3 data backup feature is not intended to
replace your other backup program but you can make data CDs of
your recorded music
and radio recordings that Replay AV 8 has made for you. In the
last 2-3
years many car and portable CD players will playback mp3 data
CDS for
you.

The files that you burned to your CD-r disk are shortened. The
original

file names are not preserved.

For example the files on the burned CD will contain only 8
characters

like:

01___boo.mp3
12345678.txt

And yes I know you can use Windows built in burner to make CD
data
disks.
